What is
Traveling VBS?
Traveling VBS is a five day VBS Style program that Camp Dixie
can bring to your congregation!
The mission of Traveling VBS is to partner with congregations to
lead a congregation-based five day Vacation Bible School program
for children that enables participants to experience God's
Grace, Love, and Guidance. This is done through hands-on Bible
Study, devotions, interaction with energetic camp staff, skits,
games, and other camp related activities.
The church shapes the lives of young Christians in many ways.
Shaping those lives to live in God's love is our most important
work. Worship, study, arts, crafts, and recreation are all
designed to make God's love come alive for your children. |

Schedule:
Camp Dixie Traveling VBS sessions are
Monday through Friday. We will arrive at your congregation on
Sunday night before the first day. A typical session operates
from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 am to
Noon on Friday.
Staff:
The Traveling VBS team will consist of five college-aged young
adults who have been trained in all aspects of running the
Traveling VBS program. All Camp Dixie staff members will be
certified in First Aid and CPR.
Age-Range:
Camp Dixie Traveling VBS is designed for children who are
entering the 1st through 6th grade. (Those who have already had
the experience of a full day of school.)
Activities:
The daily program includes music, Bible Study, arts and crafts,
devotions, and a variety of recreational activities. Whenever
feasible, activities are held outside (heat is generally NOT an
excuse to stay inside.) The emphasis of Traveling VBS is
learning through doing and living - rather than just words.
How Much
Does It Cost/How Do I Sign Up My Congregation?
The cost for a week of Traveling VBS is $1500,
which includes five counselors, and all the programming for
the week. Your congregation needs to provide housing and
meals for the counselors during the Traveling VBS week.

Camp Dixie.
